Green Opportunity & Job Fair
Thursday, January 26 at 5 PM - 8 PM
at Coppin State University
This fair is for youth ages 16-24 that are looking to get into the conservation field and want to learn about job and volunteer opportunities, ways to engage in their community, and job skill development.
The fair will focus on four main topics:
- Jobs and job training opportunities: Summer and year long positions, both full-time and part-time, in addition to career and certification opportunities
- Bringing conservation into the community: Restoring vacant lots, upcoming community events, urban farming, tips on accessing community building resources
- Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteering at parks, wildlife biologists, or technicians to learn more about careers in the field
- Job Skill Development: Resume/interview coaching, discussing pathways to conservation careers with current conservation professionals
Current Organizations Attending: National Aquarium, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, The Chesapeake Bay Program, Baltimore City Recreation and Parks, Parks & People Foundation, Outward Bound Baltimore, Chesapeake Conservancy, Center for Chesapeake Youth Development, Civic Works Baltimore Center for Green Careers, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and more!
